Little Things: Words

As an English major, I deal with a lot of words.
Similar to chemists who create compounds out of atoms and molecules, I create essays and poems using words. Words are my molecules, and manipulating and constructing them into different forms is one of the greatest pleasures I have found in life.

Here, I thought I'd share a little list of my favorite words that I believe should be more common in everyday conversations:

whimsy
fascinated
delightful
antithesis
miscellaneous
lovely
whisk
tumble
rosy
ineffable
spark
plethora
shimmy
pastry
skedaddle
lull
comrade
gem
exquisite
luminous
tenacious
phosphenes
azure
balter
deliciously
murmur
vast
winsome
aerial
reminisce
tremendous

Use them to seduce on a first date, impress in an essay, and even just to make those conversations you have with yourself in your head a little more fun.

Yours,
Helen
